Actor Alexis Ortega dies at age 38

Mexican actor Alexis Ortega died at the age of 38.

Followers and various platforms related to the world of film and dubbing expressed their condolences on Tuesday for the death on Monday of Mexican actor Alexis Ortega, who did the Spanish dubbing of Peter Parker for the ‘Spider-Man’ saga, played by Tom Holland.

“We regret to inform the sensitive passing of actor Alexis Ortega. We send our condolences to his family, friends and colleagues in the guild,” said the Latin Animated Dubbing Awards (ALDA) on social networks, in which they lamented this loss for the guild.

Calling the 38-year-old artist’s trajectory “incredible,” ALDA recalled that Ortega began his career in 2013.

The specialized dubbing portal World Dubbing News also joined the condolences and expressed its solidarity with his family, friends and colleagues in this “very difficult moment”.

The animation fan platform ‘Cartoons On The Moon’ also announced “with great sorrow” the loss of the voice of great heroes in the world of animation.

“With great sorrow, we regret to inform that Latino voice actor Alexis Ortega has passed away at the age of 38,” the group said on social media.

Ortega established himself as a Latin American pop culture reference for voicing the British actor, Holland, in the films ‘Captain America: Civil War’, ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ and ‘Avengers: Infinity War’.

In addition to giving life to one of the most beloved stars of the Marvel universe in Mexico, Ortega participated in productions such as ‘Star Wars: Rogue One’, ‘Cars 3’, ‘Finding Dory’ or ‘Big Hero 6’, as the voice of Tadashi Hamada.

Similarly, reported Agencia EFE, the actor stood out in the successful Netflix production ‘Luis Miguel: La Serie’, in which he played Jorge ‘el Burro’ Van Rankin, and in ‘La Casa de las Flores’, the show created by filmmaker Manolo Caro, in which he played Federico ‘DJ Freddy’ Limantour.
