Irish actor Colin Farrell arrived Wednesday in the Spanish city of San Sebastian to present at the International Film Festival his film ‘Ballad of a small player’ (‘Maldita suerte’), which will compete in the official section of the event.
Farrell was greeted at the gates of the Maria Cristina Hotel by dozens of fans shouting his name and a crowd of photographers waiting for him behind security fences.
Coinciding with his arrival, a few meters away there was a demonstration in favor of Palestine, which had to wait for the actor to enter the hotel to move forward.
Farrell posed for a few minutes for the press and went straight into the place where he will be staying during his stay in San Sebastian.

In ‘Ballad of a small player’, the actor plays a disillusioned gambler who finds redemption in Macau (China) when a mysterious stranger offers him hope in the midst of his debts and turbulent past.
Directed by German director Edward Berger (‘Conclave’) and scripted by Rowan Joffe and Lawrence Osborne, the film also features Tilda Switon and Alex Jennings, among others.
After Juliette Binoche, Angelina Jolie and Colin Farrell, reported Agencia EFE, the San Sebastian Festival is awaiting the arrival of American actress Jennifer Lawrence, who will receive the Donostia Award for her entire career at the age of 35.
