Telemundo premieres on June 3, 2025 its new television venture: Miss Universe Latina, El Reality, a competition that seeks to crown the first Latina representative in the United States for the Miss Universe 2025 pageant, to be held in Thailand in November.
The Miss Universe is a very important pageant for the Latino community that year after year wishes that one of the Hispanic aspirants will be the great winner of the beauty contest.
Alicia Machado and Zuleyka Rivera: Team Captains
Former Miss Universe Alicia Machado (1996, Venezuela) and Zuleyka Rivera (2006, Puerto Rico) will lead the contestants as captains of teams Esmeralda and Rubi, respectively.
Both will bring their experience and knowledge to guide the participants on their way to the crown.
The reality show will have 30 participants, who will live in a mansion and will be divided into two teams.
Throughout the competition, they will face challenges related to runway, public speaking, fashion and leadership.
The public will be able to vote weekly to decide who continues in the competition.
Reality show hosting and broadcasting
The event will be hosted by Jacqueline Bracamontes, former Miss Mexico 2001 and renowned television presenter.
The program will air Monday through Friday and Sundays at 7pm/6c on Telemundo.
Jacky Bracamontes has become Univision's big bet to host the reality show, just as Televisa does with Galilea Montijo
Opportunity for the Latino community in the U.S.
Miss Universe Latina, El Reality represents a platform for Latinas living in the United States to aspire to represent their community on the international Miss Universe stage.
The winner will get a direct pass to the global pageant, marking a milestone in the inclusion and representation of Latino diversity in beauty pageants.
Lili Estefan’s daughter will participate

A few weeks ago, it was reported that Lina Luaces, Lili Estefan’s daughter, would be participating fighting to represent her native Cuba.
This sparked endless comments about whether Telemundo has everything agreed to favor some participants over others.
So far it is not known what the format will be and who are the judges that will make the contestants represent their countries and reach Miss Universe.
The reality show premieres on June 3 on Telemundo.
