The separation between host Ana Patricia Gámez and her husband Luis Carlos Martínez continues to generate headlines, especially after the leaking of part of the legal document that Martínez filed in response to the divorce lawsuit filed by the host. Journalist Mandy Fridmann, from Las Top News, revealed some details of the document that the businessman’s lawyer filed before the Miami Family Court, and whose content has sparked speculation and debate.
According to Fridmann, one of the most striking points of the document is an explicit request in which Martinez asks the judge to consider the possibility that Ana Patricia has engaged in marital misconduct, including an alleged extramarital affair during her marriage.
The brief reads, “Consider any marital misconduct (and extramarital affair) of the wife.”
In addition, Martinez suggests that if it is shown that either party affected or diminished marital assets because of such behavior, then the court should: “Issue a ruling awarding the husband a greater and less equitable distribution of compensation from the marital estate.”
Although the document includes this request, the journalist did not confirm whether the file contains evidence, arguments or concrete facts that support the insinuation of infidelity on the part of the presenter. Another obvious point of conflict in the legal dispute is the distribution of the marital assets. While Ana Patricia Gámez allegedly requested to keep most of the assets, alleging that she contributed more to acquire them, Martínez proposes that the distribution be made in an equitable manner.
However, the same document indicates that, if misconduct that affected the finances of the marriage were to be corroborated – as he suggests – then he would demand a higher percentage of the estate for himself.
