Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli visited U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House on Friday and performed his famous song ‘Con te partirò’ (For you I will fly) in the Oval Office.

White House advisor Margo Martin shared on X a video where the 67-year-old artist performs the famous piece in front of Trump.

“He’s coming on December 5 to perform at the White House for some. If the cabinet members are good, if they do a good job, we’ll let them come with others, OK? We’re going to have a good time,” Trump said about the reason for the artist’s visit.

Bocelli came to the office accompanied by his family and was received by the president prior to his meeting with the Ukrainian president, Volodimír Zelenski.

Through the Andrea Bocelli Foundation (ABF), the Italian has implemented aid projects for Ukrainian refugees and has spoken in favor of the country at public events.

The artist’s visit was not on the presidential agenda shared by the White House for this Friday.

Bocelli has visited the White House on several occasions, reported Agencia EFE, the first being in 1998 when he sang for then Democratic President Bill Clinton and in 2011 he performed at Trump’s private event at his private Mar-a-Lago club in Florida.
