Andrés Calamaro once again demonstrated why he is an essential figure of Argentine rock during his second presentation at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires. In a night full of surprises and nostalgia, the musician offered an unreleased version of his classic “Flaca”, reinterpreted with an Oasis-inspired sound, which provoked an immediate ovation from the audience.
Andrés Calamaro himself explained later, through a comment in a Rolling Stone Argentina publication, that the idea arose from a “Manchurian hypothesis” shared by content creator Allcaraz. As he explained, the proposal began as an experiment during the rehearsals of the tour and ended up becoming one of the most celebrated moments of the concert.

“In a rehearsal I started it like this, we use the tone of the album so that the chords are more open, I sing an octave higher and at the end we go up a tone, singing loudly and with choruses”, said Andrés Calamaro.
The reinterpretation surprised even those who know every detail of the artist’s repertoire.
It offered a fresh and energetic renewal for a song that is already part of the identity of rock en español.
Andrés Calamaro also reflected on the musical spirit that permeated the new version.
Highlighting the influence of Oasis’ signature style, although he clarified that they were not listening to the band during the tour.
“Oasis is inspired by John Lennon as the most influential Beatle. That psychedelic, hypnotic way of singing.”
“Less complexity in the chords, more distortion, sweet punk with a lot of volume and slower. Oasis we don’t listen to,” he explained.
