Bad Bunny and Danny Ocean lead with six nominations each the list of nominees for Premios Juventud, to be held for the first time in Panama on September 25, reported TelevisaUnivision on Tuesday.
The organizers detailed that Anitta, Beéle, Carín León, Emilia, Myke Towers, Netón Vega and Peso Pluma obtained five nominations each.
This year the awards added eight new categories, including Best Alternative Mexican Music Song, which recognizes fusions of traditional Mexican sounds with other styles; Best Pop/Rhythmic Song, for combinations of pop and electronic music; and Latin Afrobeat of the Year, which celebrates contributions to this emerging musical style.
Other new categories include #GettingReadyWith, which highlights content creators focused on fashion and beauty; Podcast of the Year; Stream Que Nos Pegó, which highlights viral social media series; #ModoAvión, for those who inspire people to explore the world; and POVFutbolero, which recognizes soccer fans who have turned their passion into viral content.
In addition, this year, thanks to the support of a panel of experts, the number of categories dedicated to content creators and social networks has doubled from four to eight.

This is the first time Premios Juventud will be held outside the United States to commemorate Hispanic Heritage Month in Panama City.
The eligibility period for nominations ran from May 31, 2024 to June 1, 2025 and the final winners will be chosen by popular vote.
In total, 231 artists are competing in 41 categories: 30 in music, three in television and streaming, and eight in social media.
The awards gala, which will be hosted by Clarissa Molina, among others yet to be announced, will be broadcast live from the Figali Convention Center on Thursday night, September 25, on Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavisión and ViX.
The event will last four hours and will include the red carpet pre-show ‘Noche de Estrellas de Premios Juventud’.
