Last Monday, a Virginia family experienced an unexpected moment during a photo shoot under the iconic cherry blossom trees in Washington, D.C.’s Tidal Basin.
As photographer Briana Inell captured images of little Belle, 4, and Preston, 20 months, former President Barack Obama casually appeared in the background of the photos, creating a spontaneous scene that went viral.

The children’s mother, Portia Moore, shared her surprise on Instagram, recounting how her husband, Damien, noticed Obama’s presence during the session and although he tried to tell her, she didn’t catch his voice.
Portia was concentrating on making sure that her youngest son did not run off into the water, so she did not notice the presence of the former president.
After getting the hired photographer, Briana Inell, to take the photo, she went to ask her husband what it said and to her surprise, he replied.
“‘That was President Obama who just walked by’ and looked in her direction. I thought, ‘What!'” wrote Portia in her post.
Portia ran to the photographer and asked her if she had taken the picture and as she scrolled through her film “wham! There it was! The perfect picture!”.
