Belinda closes 2025 as one of the most active, talked about and solid artists of the year, consolidating a creative stage that has connected with audiences inside and outside Mexico. After the impact of Mentiras: la serie and the release of her album Indómita, the singer decided to close the year with a special gift for her fans: the premiere of the music video for “Heterocromía”, one of the most viral songs on the album.

Belinda explained that “Heterocromía” was a song she always imagined with a clear visual concept.

Even from the moment she wrote it. For her, the music video was not optional, but an essential part of the project.

“The truth is that since I wrote the song I imagined the video and I couldn’t stay without doing it.”

“I make super artistic videos, I really like the creative part,” the singer pointed out.

He described the clip as a satire of the ‘strawberry’ world and the Mexican elite, taken to an ironic tone that even provokes laughter.

Although today it is one of the most talked about songs on Indómita, Belinda revealed that “Heterocromía” was never planned as a single or as a viral hit.

As he explained, his label didn’t see it as a strong bet, but the song ended up connecting organically with the public.

“We never thought the song would get this far.”

“For me it was always special, very personal within the Indomitable story, but I never imagined the impact it would have,” he confessed.

That’s why, Belinda said, the release of the video became a “Christmas surprise” for her fans.

True to her stance of recent years, Belinda reiterated that her way of expressing herself is through music, not through statements about her personal life.

He prefers to let the audience interpret his songs and find their own meanings.

“I don’t talk about my private life. Enjoy the video and the song; you will draw your own conclusions,” he said.

He also clarified that “Heterochromia” is not directed to a specific person, but to anyone who identifies with the message, with a special emphasis on women.

“We should not be guided by appearances,” Belinda explained, stressing that the song seeks to empower and generate identification, not to point to someone in particular.

Un proyecto sin fines comerciales

One of the most revealing facts is that Belinda will not see royalties for “Heterochromia”.

This is because the introduction of the theme is inspired by Disney’s The Aristocats.

Obtaining the rights was a long and costly process, but the artist made it clear that the value of the project was artistic, not economic.

“I don’t make music for what I’m going to earn. Art is priceless to me,” he said.

After three years of uninterrupted work, Belinda recognizes the importance of taking care of herself and slowing down.

Although he will close the year with his family, he anticipated that 2026 will be equally intense, with projects in Spain and new audiovisual productions.

Even so, she assures that today she feels full, focused and proud of the stage she is living.

With Heterochromia, Belinda not only closes 2025, but also reaffirms a freer, more personal and courageous artistic identity.
