Colombian superstar Shakira continues to break records in the music industry. Billboard magazine officially recognized her as the highest-grossing Latin artist of all time, thanks to the worldwide success of her “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” tour, which has become a historic phenomenon in both sales and attendance.
The recognition comes along with the prestigious “Global Touring Icon” award, a title reserved for artists whose tours have marked an era. With this distinction, Billboard highlights not only the commercial magnitude of the singer from Barranquilla, but also her cultural influence and her ability to connect with audiences of all generations and countries.

According to official figures shared by the singer’s team, 64 of the tour’s 82 scheduled concerts have grossed more than $327.4 million and sold more than 2.5 million tickets to date.
This achievement makes Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran the highest-grossing Latin tour in history by a woman and the second highest-grossing overall, behind only a male tour, although projections indicate that it could reach the top spot before the end of the year.
The tour, which began in April 2025 in support of his eponymous album, has toured Latin America, Europe and the United States, selling out almost every city.
The album Las Mujeres Ya No Ya Lloran reached number 1 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums and Latin Pop Albums charts, consolidating Shakira’s return to the stage after several years without a world tour.
Records in Mexico and the United States

One of the highlights of the tour occurred in Mexico City, where Shakira performed 12 consecutive concerts at the GNP Seguros Stadium, an absolute record for any artist.
Each night brought together some 65,000 people, for a total of 780,000 attendees in the Mexican capital alone.
In the United States, the response has been equally overwhelming.
Concerts in Los Angeles, New York, Houston and Miami sold out in a matter of hours, demonstrating the strong Latino fan base the artist maintains in the country.
The tour will conclude in December 2025 with a luxury closing in Florida, where guest artists are expected to participate.
A global symbol of female empowerment

Beyond the numbers, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran represents a stage of resilience and empowerment in Shakira’s career.
The album, which bears the same name, was conceived after her mediatic separation from ex-footballer Gerard Piqué and became an anthem of independence and strength for millions of women.
Songs such as Puntería, Monotonía, TQG and the collaboration with Bizarrap, BZRP Music Sessions Vol. 53, redefined the artist’s narrative and strengthened her position as an iconic female voice in contemporary Latin pop.
At 48, Shakira has established herself as the most influential Latin artist of her generation, with more than three decades of career, multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy awards, and a constant presence in the global charts.
With this new recognition from Billboard, the Colombian singer joins the exclusive group of international artists who have changed the course of pop music and have proven that Latin talent has a universal impact.
