The participation of Fatima Bosch, Miss Universe 2025, in Telemundo’ s Pica y Se Extiende program ended up generating a new wave of controversy, but this time focused on the hosts -mainly Carlos Adyan- for the type of questions she was asked.

In social networks, many people criticized that the interview focused on the controversies surrounding her coronation, instead of addressing her agenda, her profile or the work involved in representing the pageant.

This discontent turned into a barrage of comments, criticisms and mockery directed at both Adyan and the television station. Among the messages that circulated were phrases such as: “Fatima putting you in your place”, “Good thing Fatima cancelled with Telemundo”, “Cirqueros”, and even more direct attacks against the host, questioning his career and interviewing style.

There were also comments that interpreted the tone of the segment as a form of “misogyny disguised as journalism” and called for questions to be asked with more respect and without interruptions.

What was discussed in Carlos Adyan’s program?

The interview took place on December 7, and in it Fatima responded first to a sensitive topic: the health condition of Miss Jamaica, Gabrielle Henry, who suffered a fall in the preliminaries of the pageant. Bosch explained that she had gone to visit her and that, out of respect for her privacy, she decided not to share anything on social networks, in a context where both the family and the organization had kept specific details confidential.

Later, the conversation moved to questions that, according to public reaction, were the ones that triggered the annoyance: she was asked for her position on the alleged lawsuit attributed to Nawat Itsaragrisil, organizer of Miss Universe Thailand. Fatima replied that she has not defamed anyone and that, up to that moment, she had not been notified.

She was also asked about broader and more delicate issues related to the organization, such as the investigation against Raul Rocha, Buzzy, related in the media debate with serious accusations. To this was added a question about the visa and travel conditions of other participants – for example, the case of Miss Ivory Coast – a topic that Bosch herself responded with visible discomfort, pointing out that there are internal rules that many contestants are unaware of and remarking: “I have nothing to do with those things” and that her job is “to be a voice for women around the world”.

In the midst of the exchange, Bosch hinted that this approach to questions “only feeds morbidity”. After the bombardment of controversial topics, he made a decision that marked the breaking point: he abandoned the interview, left the set and subsequently canceled the rest of his scheduled commitments with Telemundo.

So far, neither Carlos Adyan nor Fatima Bosch have published a direct position on networks about what happened during the broadcast, despite the discussion that was generated. Meanwhile, the episode continues to circulate in clips and captures, fueling a debate that not only touches the beauty queen, but also the way some entertainment spaces handle interviews when a public figure is surrounded by controversy.
