Argentine singer Cazzu has returned to the music scene with the release of Latinaje, her most personal and ambitious album to date. This new project, released this April 24, 2025, reflects a profound turn in her career, showing a more intimate and versatile side of the artist who earned the title of “La Jefa” of South American trap.
The name of the album, a play on “lineage” and “Latino”, Latinaje, underscores Cazzu’s focus on her cultural roots.
Unlike her previous productions, dominated by trap and reggaeton, “Latinaje” explores traditional genres such as cumbia, bachata, tango, ballad and corrido tumbado.
This musical expansion allows Cazzu to connect with an even wider audience throughout Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic community.
Maternity and growth

In recent statements, Julieta Cazzuchelli -her real name- confessed that the album was three years in the making.
During that time, she became the mother of her daughter Inti and went through a mediatic separation from Christian Nodal.
These experiences greatly influenced the composition of the songs.
Being a mom changed my way of seeing life
Cazzu
“(Being a mom) also transformed the way I write music,” Cazzu shared in an interview with Vogue Mexico.
Each track on Latinaje reflects intense emotions, from the pain of a breakup to Cazzu’s unconditional love for her daughter.
The artist not only sings about resilience and empowerment, but also about vulnerability, showing herself to be more human and authentic than ever.
Narrate their evolution

So far, three singles have been released:
“La Cueva”, a song of emotional relief after her separation.
“Dolce”, which deals with the sweetness of new beginnings.
“Con Otra”, a song that, according to speculation, is indirectly directed towards Ángela Aguilar.
Cazzu has made it clear that although her music is inspired by personal experiences, it also includes elements of fantasy, allowing her to create art without being limited by the judgments of the public.
Latinaje” is not just an album; it is Cazzu’s testimony of growth, self-improvement and authenticity to all those who fight for their dreams, no matter where they come from.
