Argentine singer Julieta Cazzuchelli, artistically known as Cazzu, experienced a night full of emotion and empowerment during her second concert at the National Auditorium in Mexico City. In front of a full house, the artist took advantage of a moment during her performance to speak openly about her motherhood and the difficulties she faces as a single mother, in response to recent statements made by the lawyer of singer Christian Nodal, father of her daughter Inti.

The singer of Nena Trampa was visibly moved by the affection of the Mexican audience, who gave her a prolonged ovation when they heard her words. “To all the mothers who raise their children alone, I am also one of you,” she said from the stage, receiving applause of support and shouts of admiration from her followers.

Cazzu’s comment was a clear response to the statement issued by César Muñoz, Christian Nodal’s lawyer, who assured days before that his client complies with all his legal and economic obligations related to the support of his daughter. According to said statement, the Mexican singer would have contributed “several million pesos” in favor of the minor, with official receipts that supposedly accredit those payments. In addition, the legal representative emphasized that the amounts paid “exceed the minimum amounts required by Argentine legislation”.

Despite these claims, the Argentinean artist decided to speak out from the stage and deny any kind of effective help from the father of her daughter. “I, like many women, not only do not receive help, but I receive attacks,” she said firmly, marking a moment of great emotional tension.

His words generated an immediate reaction from the audience, who responded with shouts of support and applause that echoed throughout the auditorium.

Cazzu: A reflection on motherhood and female resilience

During the concert, Cazzu delved into the meaning of raising a daughter alone, a process she described as challenging but also transformative. “When it comes to our children, we are touched by the most fragile point,” she said. “But in life you can be fragile as a rose or fragile as a bomb.”

With this metaphor, the artist referred to the inner strength that comes from maternal love and the ability of women to resist and adapt even in adverse circumstances. She also clarified that her statements did not respond to resentment from her partner, but to a genuine experience as a mother: “When you are a mother, a man’s love doesn’t matter a damn,” she said, unleashing cheers and ovations among the audience.

One of the most emotional moments of the night came with the performance of “Inti”, a song that Cazzu wrote in honor of her daughter. Before starting the song, the singer dedicated a few words to women who, like her, face motherhood unaccompanied:

“This fight belongs to all of us,” she declared, emphasizing the importance of making the experiences of single mothers visible.

Cazzu acknowledged that motherhood can be a difficult time, even during successful careers, but emphasized that sharing her story on stage was a way of accompanying other women and generating empathy.

Towards the end of the concert, the artist thanked the Mexican public for their affection and for turning the stage into a space of respect and understanding. “In life, one finds a balm in one’s children and in music,” she expressed. “Therein lies the strength to move forward.”

His message, charged with emotion and authenticity, was received with a standing ovation that lasted several minutes. The audience not only celebrated his talent, but also his courage in addressing personal issues on such a significant stage.

In this way, Cazzu transformed her presentation into an act of resilience, honesty and feminine union, reaffirming that her voice -both artistic and personal- is also that of thousands of women who face motherhood with courage and dignity.
