American artist Emiliano Aguilar, Pepe Aguilar’s eldest son, shared on social networks a screenshot of a supposed message he allegedly received from Mexican singer Christian Nodal. The revelation occurred in the middle of a period of family tensions, particularly with his father and his younger siblings, Ángela and Leonardo Aguilar.
The controversy intensified after members of the Aguilar family posted a message from the Instagram account of El Gordo Aguilar, Pepe’s mascot, which was interpreted as a mockery of Emiliano.
According to the capture exhibited by Emiliano, Angela Aguilar’s husband allegedly called him “kept”, suggesting that he is trying to take advantage of the fame and prestige of the family dynasty from which he has been estranged for years.
In the alleged message, Nodal reproaches him directly: “Fucking pussy, stop talking about guns and drugs, everyone is talking about that, hahaha. Try to make a career that, later, people will want to take advantage of, (that) your successes speak for you, not the fucking parody that you have in networks”.
The conversation would also include accusations about an alleged economic support that Emiliano would receive from his father: “P*to mantenido, treintón, ahí tiene que ir tu expareja al show de mi esposa, para pedir feria”.
After that, Emiliano assured that Nodal blocked him from all his accounts. His response was equally forceful: “But you don’t say it to my face, you don’t have the balls, now I understand why all the smart bitches leave you, you piss me off, Nodalito”.

Although the relationship between Emiliano and his siblings was always perceived as distant, tensions worsened after Pepe Aguilar’s statements to Ventaneando. In them, the singer said that Emiliano’s mother, Carmen Treviño, had abandoned him, taking all the belongings from the house when they were still a couple.
Emiliano reacted in defense of his mother and expressed that he would not allow anyone to make false accusations against him. From that moment on, the situation escalated, causing the Aguilar’s to respond with a publication with a derogatory tone from the family pet’s account.
After receiving criticism on social networks, Emiliano published a video statement, where he announced his decision not to continue with the confrontations. He explained that, although he was not affected by the negative opinions, he preferred to dedicate his time to what really matters to him: music.
“I don’t care what anyone says to me, but I was thinking that after he threw this guy at me, I’m not going to say anything. I already said what I had to say about these scumbags and I don’t give a damn. I’m not going to talk about this anymore, I’m going to focus on the music. Nobody told me to say this, I am not threatened. I am not threatened. Here we are at your mercy”.
The fracture between father and son has deeper antecedents. In 2017, Emiliano was detained at the U.S. border after attempting to illegally cross four Chinese nationals. He was accused of human trafficking and imprisoned, a situation that deteriorated his relationship with Pepe Aguilar for good.
Since then, the singer’s first-born son has kept his distance from both his father and his siblings, whom he has accused of excluding him from family life.
