The singer Christian Nodal experienced one of the most distressing episodes of his life recently, after being caught in the middle of a shooting that took place last February in the state of Zacatecas. The artist was not alone, as he was accompanied by his wife, Angela Aguilarwhile they were traveling near the well-known ranch El Soyate.
According to the interpreter himself, both were on their way to the airport when, upon leaving the ranch, gunshots began to be heard. The moment took the couple by surprise, generating fear and uncertainty about the situation.
Following the incident, the Zacatecas state prosecutor’s office confirmed that both Nodal and Aguilar were in the area during the shooting. However, the authorities clarified that the artists were not the target of the attack and ruled out any kidnapping attempt against them.

He also reported that Angela Aguilar was visibly frightened when she heard the shots. Fear was inevitable, but they both remained as calm as possible while their team reacted.
“My wife got very scared, she was very afraid; I threw myself on the floor; at that moment we always thought that we needed to be safe,” expressed the singer when recalling the incident.
A key point in avoiding major consequences was the quick intervention of the couple’s security team. As Nodal explained, his bodyguards acted effectively in making the decision to return to the ranch owned by Pepe Aguilarwhere they were able to take shelter until the situation was under control.
