Daniel Radcliffe, the unforgettable Harry Potter in eight feature films, has revolutionized the networks and fans of the saga with a letter of support sent to Dominic McLaughlin, the actor who will play the young wizard in the new HBO series.
“I don’t want to be a specter in these kids’ lives, but I just wanted to write to you to say, ‘I hope you have a great time, and even better than I did. I had a great time, but I hope you have an even better time,'” the actor explained in an interview on Good Morning America.
Radcliffe said he knows people working on the new series and wanted to send a note to McLaughlin, who responded in turn with “a very sweet message.”

The actor was 11 years old when he began playing Harry Potter, the same age as McLaughlin, who will be joined in the series by Arabella Stanton (Hermione) and Alastair Stout (Ron), who reprise the roles played in the film by Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.
“When I see pictures of these kids they look so young, I just look at them and I’m like, ‘oh, that’s crazy that he would do that at that age.’ But it’s also incredibly sweet and I hope they’re having a great time,” Radcliffe added in the interview, aired Tuesday.
These words were soon replicated on social networks, with many messages from fans who have applauded Radcliffe for his letter, as well as expressing their enthusiasm for the new television project.
The series, which began filming last July at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, UK, will premiere on the platform in 2027.

The cast also includes John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape and Nick Frost as the endearing Rubeus Hagrid.
The series promises to be “a faithful adaptation” of the Harry Potter books, with J.K. Rowling, creator of the literary saga, as executive producer.
Each season is planned to be based on one of the installments of the saga.
Rowling wrote seven Harry Potter books, which have sold more than 600 million copies, while the eight films have grossed US$6.822 billion, according to figures from the specialized website Box Office Mojo, reported Agencia EFE.
