The reggaetonero Fernando Hernandez, better known by his stage name El Malilla, lands from his native Valle de Chalco, a municipality in the state of Mexico, to present ‘Tu Maliante Bebé’, a tour that kicks off at the Palacio de los Deportes on February 13, and seeks to continue the battle to “leave Mexican reggaeton on a high note”.
The interpreter of ‘Mami tú’ (2025) said at a press conference that he is a few days away from fulfilling one of his greatest dreams: to sing for more than two hours, with total freedom and even accompanied by a symphony, on this stage considered one of the most important in Mexico and that this year will also receive talents of the stature of Rosalía.

“It’s a show that my team designed, and if El Malilla wants to fly, he’s going to fly; if El Malilla wants a song with a symphony, we’re going to do it,” said the 26-year-old artist, who has gone from being an emerging voice to becoming one of the icons of Mexican reggaeton after his participation in Coachella.
El Malilla appealed to nostalgia and reminded the media of that 17-year-old “chamaco” (boy) who gave his first concert in his neighborhood of Chalco; he also clarified that at that time the perception of reggaeton was different, because “people didn’t like it”.
“You were labeled for listening to reggaeton, if you listened to it you were from the neighborhood, you were poor, you were chaka (poor youth), you were the worst”, emphasized the composer who, together with El Bogueto or Víctor Mendivil -who will accompany him on this tour-, have influenced in “changing the rules” and prejudices of this genre with voices all over the country.
In that sense, Hernández assured that he keeps his feet firmly planted in the roots where he was born and that, although he already has a career as an actor -after his participation in the series ‘VGLY’ (2023) in the role of Pablito-, he will continue to live in Valle de Chalco, where he will support local talent and open a boxing school for the community.
“It is my neighborhood, it is the place where I grew up, where I developed, where my dreams began, and the people there were the ones who bet and gave me that first hug to start my dream,” he said.
The singer also announced that if possible, due to the current tensions with Mexican artists, he will tour the United States in August of this year, but assured that “if you have to pause things, you have to pause them”.
He also said that on his second visit to Los Angeles, he noticed how “a lot of Latino gangs stopped speaking Spanish out of fear” of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
El Malilla’s tour will open in style with 73 songs in a tour visiting 15 cities in Mexico, ranging from the northern Mexican state of Tijuana to the southern state of Oaxaca, with a final date on May 13.
