There is a place where time seems to stand still and the only concern is deciding on which beach to watch the sunset. That corner of the world is the northwest coast of Puerto Rico, a region that Bad Bunny has elevated to cult status thanks to his album Un Verano Sin Ti.

At QuéOnnda, we invite you to leave your stress behind and immerse yourself in the ultimate route through Isabela and Rincón. From the legendary waves of Playa Jobos to the mystical sunsets of the Rincón Lighthouse, get ready to discover the landscapes that inspired the sound that got the whole planet dancing. Isabela is known as the “Garden of the Northwest” and is arguably the place that best captures the energy of Benito’s songs.

Jobos Beach: It is the epicenter of youth culture. Here surfing is the law and wooden kiosks serve local beers while reggaeton plays in the background. It is the ideal place to watch the sunset and understand why Bad Bunny prefers the peace of this coast over any European city.

Playa Montones: With its natural pools of crystal clear water, it’s the place that looks like it’s straight out of disco art. It is perfect to spend the day “chill”, just as the lyrics of August dictate.

Rincón: Capital of surfing and sunsets

If you go a little further down the coast, you will reach Rincón, the place where the United States and Puerto Rico blend in a unique way.

El Faro de Rincón: It is the meeting point par excellence to watch the sunset. Here, the surfing community and travelers mingle in a daily ceremony of applause at sunset.

Domes Beach: Famous for the old dome of a nuclear power plant (now inactive) that gives it a futuristic and retro air at the same time, very consistent with the visuals that Bad Bunny uses in his concerts.

3. Shacks Beach: The Best Kept Secret

For those seeking privacy (as Benito surely does when he wants to disappear from the radar), Shacks Beach offers underwater caves and an impressive coral reef.

It is the ideal destination to snorkel and disconnect from the digital world.

Authoritative tip for the reader: The current in the northwest can be strong; so it is always recommended to swim in the protected areas such as the “pozas” of Isabela if you are not an expert swimmer or surfer.
