Mexican representative Fátima Bosch, winner of Miss Mexico 2025, was involved in a strong controversy during her participation in an official ceremony of the Miss Grand International pageant, held in Bangkok, Thailand. The incident, which was recorded on video and quickly went viral on social networks, occurred on Monday, November 3, when the president of the contest, Nawat Itsaragrisil, publicly reprimanded Bosch in the middle of the event, generating indignation and expressions of solidarity towards the Mexican.
The meeting took place at the Chatrium Riverside Bangkok hotel, where contestants from different countries gathered to receive their official sashes for the Miss Universe Thailand 2025, scheduled for November 21. During the ceremony, Nawat Itsaragrisil took the microphone to address the participants, but her intervention led to an unexpected confrontation with Fatima Bosch.

According to the videos released, the Thai businessman questioned the Mexican for not posting content on social networks about her stay in the host country, which led to an argument in which he prevented her from responding and even insulted her, calling her “stupid” in front of the rest of the contestants.
“I didn’t give you permission to speak,” Itsaragrisil is heard saying in an authoritative tone, as Bosch tries to explain his position calmly.
The exchange escalated when, in the face of the confusion, some contestants rose from their seats in support. In response, the pageant president asked security to remove both Bosch and the contestants who stood in solidarity with her.
“Stop, stop. If you want to continue participating you must sit down,” shouted the organizer, as murmurs and slight boos could be heard in the hall.
Accusations against the director of Miss Mexico and reaction of Fatima Bosch

During the same event, Nawat Itsaragrisil publicly stated that George Figueroa, director of the Miss Mexico organization, had been expelled from the country for allegedly engaging in “rude” behavior. So far, Figueroa has not offered any statement on the matter.
After leaving the venue, Fatima Bosch spoke to the international press and expressed her disappointment at what had happened. Visibly affected, the Mexican representative said that, although she loves Thailand and its people, the treatment received was “unacceptable”.
“He called me a fool because he has problems with the organization in Mexico. I don’t think it’s fair. He yelled at me, told me to shut up. The world has to see this, because we are empowered women and this is a platform to use our voice. And no one will be able to silence my voice,” she said, her voice cracking, but keeping her composure.
The video of the incident was widely disseminated during the early hours of Tuesday, November 4, causing a wave of messages of support for Bosch on social networks. From Mexico to other Latin American countries, users and public figures defended the model’s position, highlighting her courage and serenity in the face of the situation.
Shortly after, the Miss Mexico organization issued a statement on its official Instagram account, requesting respect for its representative and stressing the importance of maintaining dignity and professionalism in international events.
After the controversy, Bosch was able to return to the pageant and continue with preparations for the final competitions. In a subsequent video, the young woman thanked the support received and reiterated her commitment to the social causes she represents.

“I am not a doll to be having my makeup, hair done or clothes changed. I came here to be a voice for all women and girls fighting for causes,” she said firmly.
As she left the hotel, dozens of people were waiting for her to show their support. Amidst applause and shouts of “Mexico, Mexico!”, Bosch thanked the Thai and Latin American public for their affection, sending kisses and forming a heart with her hands.
The scene, which quickly went viral, reinforced Bosch’s image as a dignified and strong representative, determined to defend her voice and her integrity on one of the most demanding stages in the world of beauty pageants.
“Thank you for your love. I love you all very much,” she said emotionally before leaving.
With the incident still generating debate, Fatima Bosch’s participation in Miss Grand International 2025 will be marked not only by her performance in the pageant, but also by her message of empowerment, respect and courage in the face of adversity.
