Angelique Boyer officially began filming her ninth telenovela as a leading lady on July 7, 2025, under the production of Carlos Bardasano for TelevisaUnivision. The new project is called Doménica Montero and is inspired by the original hit story “La Dueña”, written by Inés Rodena and Caridad Bravo Adams.
The filming began at the Televisa San Angel TV station in Mexico City, and Boyer could not hide her enthusiasm: “Very exciting, it’s a great day for me. 7/7, a beautiful portal. The energy from the beginning has been magical”.
A story of betrayal, strength and redemption.

In this new version, Angelique Boyer gives life to Doménica Montero, a respected businesswoman and philanthropist, considered one of the most coveted women in the country.
However, her world collapses when she is abandoned at the altar.
Publicly humiliated, she decides to leave everything behind and take refuge in a hacienda that belonged to her family.
There, her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Luis Fernando, a character played by Marcus Ornellas, who also has a painful past.
What begins as mistrust slowly transforms into a deep connection that defies the scars of the past.
According to TelevisaUnivision, the production is:
“A story of betrayal and revenge, of love and redemption.”
“Of a woman who falls from the top only to discover that her true strength comes not from her family name or money, but from her ability to be reborn.”
