The voice of Colombian singer Yeison Jiménez was preserved in Con el corazón, a song he recorded with Maluma on December 10 in Medellín, which was released on Thursday as the last official musical record of his career, a release that takes on special significance after his death on January 10.
The premiere, released by Maluma, goes beyond the idea of a conventional collaboration and is projected as a piece of high emotional content, because although it was born as an encounter between two figures of Colombian music -urban and popular- with the passage of time it became “an artistic document that today acquires a different dimension,” according to a statement from Jiménez’s team.
Air Tragedy Places Colombia in Mourning

The 34-year-old artist died on January 10 when the plane in which he was traveling to Medellín crashed in a rural area of the department of Boyacá (center) shortly after taking off from the Paipa airport.
Five other people were also killed in the accident, including members of his team and the pilot.
An event that shocked Colombia and generated massive tributes in different cities of the country, while aeronautical authorities investigate the causes of the accident.

Maluma’s entourage recalled that the recording of Con el corazón was marked by an atmosphere of closeness and naturalness that reflected Yeison Jiménez’s personality.
A session where “there was no shortage of jokes, complicity and exchanges about their careers”.
Elements that accompanied a day that would later be understood as unrepeatable.
The single was presented with a video made with images captured during the session in Medellín.
In addition to photographs taken by David Bernal, while Maluma described the publication as a gesture of respect and admiration for his colleague.
And when announcing the premiere, he dedicated a message to him in which he said: “May your music live forever, my friend”.
