The American actor George Clooney, one of the most famous actors on the planet; his wife Amal Alamuddin (born in Lebanon) and their two children together, Ella and Alexander (both born in the United Kingdom) have obtained French nationality by decree, according to the Official Journal of the French Republic in a decree approved on December 26.
The document lists, among a long list of naturalizations, Clooney, born on May 6, 1961 in Lexington, in the State of Kentucky; Amal, on February 3, 1978 in Beirut; and their twin sons, both born on June 6, 2017 in Westminster (London).

The Clooney-Amal family acquired in 2021 a property and vineyard area in Brignoles, in the Var department (southeastern France).
In France, he has been decorated as an Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters in 2016.
Another well-known film star, American director Jim Jarmusch, revealed a few days ago that he is in the process of obtaining French nationality.
“I’d like to have another place where I can escape from the United States…. And also France, Paris and French culture are anchored in me,” Jarmusch, director of ‘Strangers in Paradise’ (1984) and ‘Coffee and Cigarettes’ (2003), told public radio ‘France Inter’ recently, reported Agencia EFE.
