Latin music legend Gloria Estefan reaffirmed her iconic status this Sunday at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards. With her production ‘Raíces’, the Cuban-American singer-songwriter won the award for Best Tropical Latin Album, the fifth Grammy of her brilliant career.

Estefan prevailed in a tightly contested category over industry titans such as Rubén Blades, Gilberto Santa Rosa and Grupo Niche, proving that her musical legacy is as strong as ever in 2026.

The acclaimed Gloria Estefan won the Grammy for Best Latin Tropical Album with‘Raíces‘.

This is the fifth Grammy of his professional career, after Rubén Blades, Roberto Delgado & Orquesta’s ‘Fotografías’; Grupo Niche’s ‘Clásicos 1.0’; Alain Pérez’s ‘Bingo’ and Gilberto Santa Rosa’s ‘Debut y Segunda Tanda, Vol. 2’.

Mexico’s Carín León won again for the second consecutive year in the category of best Mexican music album (including Texan) with ‘Palabra De To’s (Seca)’.

The Mexican beat in the 68th edition of these awards such projects as ‘MALA MÍA’, by Fuerza Regida and Grupo Frontera; ‘Y Lo Que Viene’, also by Grupo Frontera; ‘Sin Rodeos’, by Paola Jara and ‘Bobby Pulido & Friends. Una Tuya Y Una Mía – Por La Puerta Grande (En Vivo)’, by Texan Bobby Pulido.

Meanwhile, Mexico’s Natalia Lafourcade won the award for best Latin pop album with ‘Cancionera’, her tenth studio project in which she encapsulates her artistic and personal evolution.

The Mexican was competing for this award with ‘Cosa Nuestra’, by Rauw Alejandro; ‘Bogotá (Deluxe)’, by Andrés Cepeda; ‘Tropicoqueta’, by Karol G; and ‘¿Y ahora qué?’, by Alejandro Sanz.

Argentina’s Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso, winners of five Latin Grammys in the current edition, continued to expand their legacy by being crowned in the best Latin rock or alternative album category with ‘PAPOTA’, an album that ironizes the business of the music industry.

The duo’s first Grammy win comes after facing their rivals nominated in this category: ‘Genes Rebeldes’ by Aterciopelados, ‘ASTROPICAL’ by Bomba Estéreo, Rawayana, ‘ALGORHYTHM’ by Los Wizzards and ‘Novela’ by Fito Paez.
