Héctor Sandarti was part of the show when it was still called Un Nuevo Día and he hosted it with stars such as Adamari López and Rashel Díaz.

His departure in 2020 took many by surprise.

Now, he returned as guest host to the set of Hoy Día, where he shared space with Chiky Bombom, Penélope Menchaca, Carlos Calderón and Clovis Nienow.

Although his return implies a new energy for the program, the media said that for now his role will be temporary: “He will be a guest host this week,” the network announced.

However, rumors are circulating that this could be the first step towards a definitive return in 2026, which has audiences hanging on.

For Hispanic viewers living in the United States, the news of her reappearance on Telemundo’s mornings has a special value.

Sandarti represents a familiar, charismatic and approachable voice for those who grew up watching his work on television.

Her style brings closeness during a period of change in the morning segment, and her return can be seen as a sign of stability for an audience looking for reliable faces.

Why now?And what could come

The morning show Hoy Día has undergone changes in its management team: arrivals, departures, format adjustments.

Sandarti’s incorporation comes at a key moment for the production, which seeks to reconnect with the audience.

The question now is: will he stay permanently?

If his answer is yes, he could mark a new chapter in his career and in Telemundo’s programming.

Back home. I'll see you all week on @hoydia on @telemundo
