Hispanic man accused of shooting two members of the Israeli Embassy in the U.S. is Hispanic

On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, a tragic shooting rocked Washington D.C., when two employees of the Israeli Embassy were shot and killed in front of the Jewish Museum in the Capital.

The victims, Yaron Lischinsky, 30, and Sarah Lynn Milgrim, 26, were dating and had been attending an American Jewish Committee event. Lischinsky planned to propose to Milgrim during an upcoming trip to Jerusalem.

The perpetrator was identified as Elias Rodriguez, a 30-year-old Chicago resident.
