Spain’s Maria Teresa Turrion Borallo, nanny to the children of the Prince and Princess of Wales, has been awarded the Royal Victoria Medal for her services to the royal family, according to the New Year’s honors awarded by King Charles III.
The nanny, who has cared for the three children of the Prince and Princess of Wales – Princes George, Charlotte and Louis – since they were very young, receives the medal for these personal services and is a gift from the British King.

As it does every December, the British Government today released the long list of honors awarded by the King – on the recommendation of the Executive – to citizens who have made a major contribution to the United Kingdom in various areas.
Turrion Borallo did her training as a nanny at the prestigious Norland College before she began working for the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate Middleton, in 2014, following the birth of Prince George – second in line to the crown – in 2013.
On several occasions, the nanny has been spotted wearing Norland’s uniform while taking care of the little ones at certain events.

The nanny, who grew up in Palencia, lived with the princes at Kensington Palace in London, but when they moved to a home in the grounds of Windsor Castle – Adelaide Cottage – she stopped being a live-in nanny, but has continued to care for the little princes while living in another property.
Since last November the Prince and Princess of Wales have moved again, reported Agencia EFE, to the eight-bedroom Forest Lodge mansion, also in Windsor (outside London).
