The renowned Puerto Rican singer Arcángel, whose real name is Austin Agustín Santos, recently underwent a delicate heart surgery.
Through his social networks, the artist shared details about this difficult moment, describing it as “the biggest test that God and life have put me through” and alarming his followers.
High-risk surgery
Arcángel posted on his Instagram account images from the hospital bed, showing a significant scar on his chest, evidence of the surgery he faced.
In his message, he expressed: “I have a sick and badly wounded heart that, in spite of everything, refuses to stop beating”.
This is not the first time that the singer has faced health problems related to his heart. In 2019, he suffered a pre-infarction that led him to undergo frequent medical check-ups.

My cardiologist and surgeon gave me permission to be present this coming April 19 in your country and sing with you,” he said.
