On June 1, ICE received an anonymous call alerting them to the presence of several undocumented migrants at a residence in Mercedes.

In response, ICE coordinated with the local police department to conduct a welfare inspection of the property.

During the visit, the owner admitted to housing approximately 16 people without legal immigration status.
