Colombian singer Shakira offered this Thursday her last show at the GNP Seguros stadium in Mexico City, after a series of concerts where she broke attendance records.

The Colombian became the first woman to perform 12 times at the GNP Seguros stadium, which can hold about 65,000 fans, after making her debut on March 19 and returning in August to complete the second part of her tour of Mexico as part of the ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’ (Women Don’t Cry Anymore) tour.

In the second stage of her tour, the Colombian singer performed in cities such as Tijuana, Hermosillo, Chihuahua, Torreón, Querétaro, Guadalajara, Puebla, Veracruz and Mexico City, where she has set records in sold-out tickets.

To close her Mexican tour with ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’, the Colombian singer will perform on September 24 at the Luis Pirata Fuente Stadium in Veracruz (east).

In this second leg of the tour, the singer of hits such as ‘Hips don’t lie’, ‘La tortura’, ‘Waka Waka’ and ‘Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53’ also presented a new set of costumes and stunning choreography.

It is estimated that Shakira’s visit to Mexico between August and September alone will generate more than US$106.4 million in tourism spending, reported Agencia EFE, according to the consulting firm Mabrian, which specializes in tourism intelligence.
