The legacy of Jenni Rivera, who died in a plane crash in 2012, lives on with the release this Thursday of ‘La gran señora-Banda’, a reinterpretation of the iconic 2009 original album, now with new arrangements.
The album of the ‘Diva de la banda’, produced by Luciano Luna and under the creative direction of Johnny Lopez, Jenni’s youngest son, will be released today at 19:11 local time (00:11 GMT Friday), in honor of the artist’s birth time, according to a press release.

All songs retain the original vocals from the mariachi album, except for ‘Yo soy una mujer’, which includes unreleased audio recorded in 2008.
The album incorporates authentic moments of Jenni in concert, with iconic phrases that capture her unique personality, while the title track, ‘No llega el olvido’, was composed by Espinosa Paz.
