This week’s Latin music premieres highlight artists Isabela Merced and Tony Succar with ‘Apocalipsis’, Kendo Kaponi with ‘Apocalipto’, Joss Favela with the video for ‘Que belleza de mujer’, Mexicans Cachirula and Loojan with a pre-release mix of their joint album and pianist Arthur Hanlon with the music video ‘Sol’ featuring Colombian singer-songwriter Manuel Medrano.

Peruvian-American actress and singer Isabela Merced, who appears in the latest ‘Superman’ movie, joined fellow Peruvian Tony Succar, a double Grammy and Latin Grammy winner, in ‘Apocalipsis’, a salsa version of Merced’s song, which pays homage to both artists’ Peruvian roots.

Puerto Rican singer Kendo Kaponi presented the second preview of his upcoming album ‘Apocalipto’, the single ‘Eso es por mi’, a song that contrasts two worlds of the artist’s life, one full of success and luxury, and another that reflects his roots and difficult experiences before reaching fame, a contrast that has marked his career and that is reflected in the video clip of the song, filmed between Orlando and Puerto Rico.

Joss Favela pays tribute to women in regional key

Mexican singer and songwriter Joss Favela premiered the official video for ‘Que belleza de mujer’, a single that exalts a woman who illuminates the life of a man together with the regional Mexican music group La Receta and is part of the EP ‘Mis compas vol. 2’, which brings together representatives of Mexican music, such as the duo Ha*Ash and the band Código FN.

Mexican artists Cachirula and Loojan released ‘Uii (Remix)’, a song that retakes, with the help of Mexican El Bogueto, the original version that has more than 13 million listens on Spotify in four months, and is part of the Mexican duo’s joint album ‘Sexolandia vol. 2’ which will be available on August 21.

The renowned American pianist Arthur Hanlon shared the video clip of ‘Sol’, a collaboration with Colombian singer-songwriter Manuel Medrano and Cuban artist Nia Skyfer, united in a romantic ballad that combines pop and funk, in appreciation of the meeting of a life partner, and which is part of ‘2 hands, 1 world’, the pianist’s musical project in which some of the best known voices of Latin music participate.
