Colombian star Karol G gave a powerful speech in which she appealed to self-love and to ignore criticism, based on a personal experience she recently lived, after receiving the Latin Grammy for song of the year for her hit ‘Si antes te hubiera conocido’ (If I had known you before).
At a time when it seems that everyone has opinions on everything, “the only thing that remained of all that was to go back to the roots and return to the purpose that I am doing what I do because I love it, I like it and because I was born for this,” said the Colombian artist during her speech.

“And I’m not saying it for me, I’m saying it because there are many people in the house thinking that they are not good, that they are not good enough or professional enough to do what they want. Forget the world, forget the noise and when one forgets about the qualification of the other there remains love and passion, above all, passion and obsession for what one does,” he concluded while receiving the applause of the audience.
The new ‘anthem’ of Karol G
In the face of this speech, people think that the Colombian is victimizing herself every time she wins an award, since her words always allude to her sacrifices and the offenses that fall on her.
In social networks the comments were present: ‘She didn’t cry’, ‘Why the hell is she always a victim’, ‘Oh poor little Karol G, she should be grateful because she is awarded without talent’.

Karol G released ‘Si antes te hubiera conocido’ in June 2024, a merengue that became the song of the summer.
A year later he released the album ‘Tropicoqueta’, in which he pays tribute to the roots of Latin culture through styles such as bachata, mambo and mariachi, reported Agencia EFE, and has already released another potential summer anthem, ‘Latina Foreva’.
