The Leagues Cup 2025 has entered the semifinal phase, and as in previous editions, it once again reflects the diversity and globalization of soccer in the United States.

This time, the four teams – Inter Miami, Orlando City, LA Galaxy and Seattle Sounders – are all from MLS, with no Liga MX representation in the round of four.

A striking fact is that less than 50% of the players in these Leagues Cup semifinals are Americans.

While there are approximately 64 foreign players in total among the four teams, confirming the multicultural nature of the tournament.

Orlando City leads the statistics, with 21 foreign players out of a squad of 30, including players from Germany, Spain, Slovenia, Japan and several Latin American countries.

Inter Miami follows with 18 foreigners, including big names such as Lionel Messi, Rodrigo De Paul, Sergio Busquets and Luis Suarez.

On the West Coast, the Los Angeles Galaxy have a balanced lineup of 14 foreign players compared to 13 Americans, with Riqui Puig and Marco Reus standing out among the foreigners.

The Seattle Sounders, on the other hand, have a majority of American players: 19 players from the country, a rarity in these quarterfinals.
