Legado 7, a pioneer of regional Mexican music from Southern California, began the year with the release of its new single “7 Besos”, accompanied by its official music video, now available on digital platforms under the Sony Music and Lumbre Music labels.
The song marks a new chapter in the trajectory of one of the most influential groups in modern regional Mexican music, consolidating their artistic identity and their connection with the Latino community in the United States.
Legado 7 releases new single
“7 Besos” is a songwriting collaboration between Legado 7 members Alex Guerra, founder of Lumbre Music, and Ricardo Ángel, vocalist of Grupo RYE, one of the label’s new bets.
The single maintains the group’s essence: straightforward lyrics, contemporary norteño sound and a narrative that reflects the experience of working class Latinos, particularly those who have built their lives in the U.S. facing economic, social and immigration challenges.
The music video, directed by Siccmade, a frequent collaborator of the group, reinforces this message of identity and community solidarity.
Through images that portray daily effort, hard work and family life, the audiovisual highlights the central role that regional Mexican music has played as a vehicle of expression for generations of Latinos in the country.
Beyond entertainment, the visual proposal connects with a reality shared by millions of people who find in this genre a reflection of their history.

This release follows a particularly relevant period for Legado 7, after the release of their album “L7X”, a project that commemorates 10 years of the group’s trajectory in Latin music.
The album was recognized by specialized media such as Rolling Stone en Español, REMEZCLA, HOLA! and El Universal de México, which highlighted the group for its innovative character within the regional Mexican genre.
“L7X” brings together norteño-inspired songs that address real experiences lived by the band members, from the initial obstacles to the consolidation of their career.
These stories have particularly resonated with Latino and immigrant audiences in the United States, who identify with narratives of effort, perseverance and cultural belonging.
During the closing of 2025, Legado 7 also presented the singles “A Mi Modo”, in collaboration with Sinaloan artist El Rabbanito.
As well as the Christmas theme “Hoy Vi a Santa Claus Besar a Mamá”, showing his versatility and ability to adapt to different moments and audiences.
Over the years, Legado 7 has been recognized as a key influence for artists that today dominate the regional Mexican and contemporary corrido charts, among them Peso Pluma, Fuerza Regida, Natanael Cano, Eslabón Armado, Herencia de Patrones and Grupo Marca Registrada, who have all pointed to the group as a formative reference.
With over 2.6 billion global plays, Legado 7 has been instrumental in the development of movements such as Corridos Tumbados and Corridos Verdes, integrating new themes and sounds to the Mexican regional music scene.
In addition, through Lumbre Music, the group has promoted the careers of emerging artists such as Yahritza and Su Esencia, consolidating their role not only as performers, but also as promoters of the future of the genre.
