American actress Lily Collins will play Hollywood legend Audrey Hepburn in a new film project that will tell the story of how ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ (‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’) was made.
“After nearly 10 years of development and a lifetime of admiration and adoration for Audrey, I can finally share this. Honored and thrilled, I can’t begin to express how I feel,” Collins posted Monday on her Instagram account alongside a photo of the legendary Hepburn dressed in the outfit from the 1961 classic, one of the most iconic films of golden Hollywood.

The actress, known for starring in Netflix’s comedy-drama ‘Emily in Paris,’ will be part of the project, based on Sam Wasson’s book ‘Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M.: Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the Dawn of the Modern Woman,’ The Hollywood Reporter reported.
Audrey Hepburn is a legendary actress and Lily Collins will face a major challenge
The script will be written by Alena Smith, creator of Apple’s ‘Dickinson’ series.
Adapted from the short novel by best-selling author Truman Capote, the Blake Edwards-directed film follows socialite Holly Golightly (Hepburn) as she meets a struggling writer who moves into her apartment building.
The film, which does not yet have a release date and no further details have been provided, will chronicle the chaotic pre-production of this romantic comedy, including theories that Capote wanted Marilyn Monroe to star in the film.

Both Capote and legendary costume designer Edith Head and Edwards will appear in the as-yet-untitled film, reported Agencia EFE.
