Frankie Muniz reunites with his TV family in the first trailer for ‘Malcolm in the Middle: Life Still Unfair,’ the return of the popular turn-of-the-century series to the small screen, set to premiere April 10 on the Hulu platform.

“My life is fantastic now, I just had to get away from my family,” Muniz says in the trailer posted on Hulu’s YouTube channel.

The actor, who plays child prodigy Malcolm in the series, utters the phrase before a series of chaotic scenes starring his parents, Hal (Bryan Cranston) and Lois (Jane Kaczmarek), ensue.

The teaser shows Malcolm returning home to his daughter (Keeley Karsten) after hiding from them for more than a decade, forced to attend his parents’ 40th wedding anniversary party.

In addition to Cranston and Kaczmarek’s appearances, the trailer also shows the main character’s brothers: Reese, played by Justin Berfield; Francis, played by Christopher Masterson; and Dewey, a role assumed by Caleb Ellsworth-Clark to replace Erik Per Sullivan, who played the younger brother in the original series.
