Tigres UANL continues to strengthen its squad for the Apertura 2025 tournament with the incorporation of left back Marco Farfán, from FC Dallas of Major League Soccer (MLS). The 26-year-old player, who has experience with the United States national team, becomes the fourth confirmed reinforcement for the team from Monterrey.
According to TUDN journalist Vladimir García, the agreement between Tigres and the Texan club is complete, and the player will sign a contract for three seasons. Only administrative details are missing for the announcement to be made official by the university board.
Career in MLS

Marco Farfan has spent his entire career in MLS.
He made his professional debut in 2017 with Portland Timbers, before moving on to Los Angeles FC and finally FC Dallas.
Here he played the last three seasons as a regular starter.
His profile has been followed by several Liga MX teams, but it was Tigres who signed him.

During his time in the United States, Marco Farfán has stood out for his defensive solidity, speed and his ability to split the ball down the left flank.
At the national team level, he has been called up by both youth teams and the U.S. senior national team, although he has yet to establish himself as a regular starter.
Tigres reinforcements for Apertura 2025

Marco Farfán joins a group of reinforcements that includes Argentinean Ángel Correa, former Atlético de Madrid player.
Mexican striker Édgar “Gacelo” López, and goalkeeper Antonio Carrera, also from the United States.
With these additions, Tigres seeks to strengthen all its lines and maintain its position as a serious contender in the MX League, the Leagues Cup and other international tournaments.
The arrival of Marco Farfán aims to solve a key need on the left flank, after negotiations with Minnesota United’s Honduran Joseph Rosales failed to come to fruition.
For Hispanic fans who follow both MLS and Liga MX, this transfer represents yet another sign of the growing bridge between the two leagues.
Marco Farfán, born and trained in the U.S., is making the leap to one of the most important clubs in Mexico, which also raises expectations about his future projection with the national team.
