From Monterrey to the world
Daniel was born on January 7, 1992 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Since he was a child he showed a great passion for cars. He started racing go-karts and then in regional championships in Mexico, quickly standing out for his aggressiveness and technique on the track.
In 2008, he made his debut in the NASCAR Mexico Series and in a short time became one of the most promising young drivers in Mexican motorsports.
The leap to the United States
His talent led him to cross the border. In 2013, he began racing in development series in the US, and in 2015 he was signed by Joe Gibbs Racing, one of the most important teams in NASCAR.
The turning point came in 2016, when he won the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship, becoming the first foreigner to do so.
It was just the beginning.
The great achievement: the Cup Series
In 2022, Suárez made history again by winning his first race in the NASCAR Cup Series, the most important category in American motorsport, at the Sonoma circuit in California.
That day, not only did he win, but also the entire Latino community, which saw in his victory a giant step towards inclusion and representation in NASCAR.
