The documentary about Melania Trump, to be released Jan. 30 in theaters, will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the life of the elusive U.S. first lady, promises the film’s first trailer shared Wednesday on her social media.
“Here we go again,” the 55-year-old former Slovenian model warns in the opening seconds of the preview, decked out in the now-iconic outfit of wide hat and navy blue coat she wore to the second inauguration of her husband, President Donald Trump.
“Everybody wants to know. So here it is,” the first lady invites.
In just over a minute, the trailer shows Melania as a “witness to history in the making” during the moments leading up to her return to the White House, including the process of creating the black and white dress she wore to the inaugural ball last January, and the early months of Trump’s second term.

“For the first time, audiences around the world are invited to movie theaters to witness this pivotal chapter unfold: an intimate, unfiltered look at my life as I juggle family, business and philanthropy on my extraordinary journey to become First Lady of the United States,” Melania told Fox News.

In the trailer, the former model can be seen in her official role, shared between the White House, the Trump penthouse in New York and her husband’s favorite residence, the Mar-a-Lago club in Florida, while offering a privileged access to private moments as she re-enters public life.
Melania herself is the executive producer of the documentary, directed by Brett Ratner, a filmmaker known for the ‘Rush Hour’ saga and for the sexual misconduct allegations against him at the start of the ‘Me Too’ movement in 2017.
The 104-minute film will be distributed by Amazon’s MGM Studios, which won the rights in a bid with other entertainment giants such as Netflix and Disney in a landmark $40 million purchase, considered the largest amount paid for a documentary, according to Fox News.

The film is seen as another step in Melania’s opening up to the American public, following the publication of a memoir in late 2024.
Melania Trump had already said that during her husband’s first term (2017-2021) perhaps people did not understand or accept her “like they do now.”
“Some may see me only as the president’s wife, but I am independent, I have my own ideas and my yeses and noes. I don’t always agree with what my husband says or does, and that’s fine,” she explained last January, reported Agencia EFE.
