Shell casings from the ammunition allegedly used by Tyler Robinson to murder U.S. conservative activist Charlie Kirk contained messages such as ‘Hey, fascist’ and ‘Bella Ciao,’ authorities said Friday.

This was detailed by Utah Governor Spencer Cox at a press conference to provide details on the capture of Robinson, a 22-year-old man accused of shooting Charlie Kirk in the neck last Wednesday during an event at Utah Valley University.

According to the governor, the shells contained engraved messages such as ‘Hey, fascist, get him!’ or ‘If you can read this, you’re gay hahaha’.

Also ‘O bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao ciao’, an Italian folk song turned into a partisan hymn of the Italian resistance against Mussolini’s fascism.

As well as by the Nazi occupation during World War II.

According to authorities, Robinson’s relative turned him in to the police after he confessed to committing the crime.

Family member delivered and Trump honors Kirk

“Ladies and gentlemen, we caught him. On the night of Sept. 11, a family member of Tyler Robinson contacted a family friend, who in turn contacted the County Sheriff’s Office with information that Robinson had confessed or implied to them that he had committed the crime,” Cox said.

Charlie Kirk, 31, a father of two and widely known for founding the conservative organization Turning Point, was a close ally of the U.S. president.

For his part, Donald Trump announced that he will posthumously award him the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

It is the highest civilian decoration in the country, according to information from EFE.
