On the other hand, he reported that 11 people were captured in Aldama (Chihuahua), among them Roberto ‘N’, alias ’02’, “generator of violence with an extradition order to the United States”.
In this action, added the official in a message on X, “15 weapons, explosives and tactical equipment were secured.
In a joint communiqué, Mexican government security agencies detailed that Gustavo ‘N’ was located in Tijuana through intelligence and tracking of criminal organizations, who was arrested along with four other members of a criminal faction, whose identities were not specified.
They noted that Gustavo ‘N’, leader of the criminal group, is considered the “main generator of violence in the region” and “has been charged by US authorities for drug trafficking.
They also stressed that the detainee “is identified as a priority target” for U.S. authorities.
In the action, they added, 9 kilograms and 330 fentanyl pills, five firearms, cartridges of various calibers and two properties were also seized.
The operation in Tijuana was led by the Ministry of Defense and the National Guard, in conjunction with the Navy, the SSPC and the Attorney General’s Office (FGR).
Last February, the government of U.S. President Donald Trump designated the Mexican cartels Sinaloa, Jalisco New Generation (CJNG), Northeast, Gulf, United Cartels and the New Mexican Family as terrorists.
In addition, Washington also labeled the Aragua Train and the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang, which has a presence in the United States and Central America, as terrorists.
