The participation of Fatima Bosch, Mexico’s representative in Miss Universe 2025, has been one of the most followed and commented of the pageant. However, a few days before the final, the young woman from Tabasco once again caught the public’s attention due to an unexpected incident that occurred in her hotel room in Thailand, where the pageant is being held.
During a live broadcast, the Mexican calmly recounted what she described as a “bad moment”, but assured that she is focused and ready to continue with her participation.
According to Bosch explained, when he arrived at his room after a day of activities, he noticed that there were small shards of glass scattered on the floor. Everything seems to indicate that it was the remains of an object that was previously broken, possibly by a previous guest, and that was not properly removed during cleaning.
Without realizing the risk and walking barefoot, one of these fragments became deeply embedded in her foot, causing immediate pain.
The young woman said that, acting calmly, she used a pair of tweezers she had among her belongings to remove the piece of glass. Although she was able to remove it, she mentioned that the pain persisted and that, at times, it increased when she rested her foot, which made her suspect that there might still be some residue in the wound.
Despite the concern, Fatima decided not to be alarmed and to keep focused on her obligations in the contest, whose rhythm is demanding and requires strict punctuality.

The accident occurred just hours before her participation in the preliminary gala, one of the most important stages of the contest, as it determines who will advance to the finals.
Against all odds, Fatima Bosch took to the stage as scheduled, showing firmness as she paraded in her gala costume and in the typical costume presentation. Many spectators remarked that, despite the injury, she looked confident, elegant and showing no obvious signs of pain.
