Release tied to Vive Latino

Moenia, one of the most representative groups of Mexican synth-pop, confirmed their comeback with the release of Temporal, a new album that marks a different creative stage in their career. The project is made up of nine songs and will be officially presented on March 14, a date that coincides with their participation in the Vive Latino Festival, one of the most important stages for Spanish-language music.

According to the band, Temporal is an album where each song has its own identity, both sonically and conceptually. Moenia describes each song as a “photograph”, with a different background and emotional value that can acquire personal meanings depending on the listener. This diversity of atmospheres reflects the group’s intention not to be pigeonholed into a single mood, but to explore different emotions within the same album.

The breakthroughs that led the way

Since last year, Moenia began to trace the aesthetic and musical line of Temporal with several singles.

These include ‘Estamos bien’, ‘Consecuencias’, ‘Repetir’ and, most recently, ‘Lo prometí’, the track that functions as a direct prelude to the full release.

Estamos bien’ includes a special collaboration with Paty Cantú, whose voice appears in the chorus with a clear message of celebration and resilience.

The video accompanies this idea with a colorful visual proposal, pastel tones, warm lighting and a playful dynamic that reinforces the message of enjoying the present and celebrating life.

On the other hand, ‘Consequences’ presents a darker and more experimental narrative.

The video clip is developed in two visual layers:

A stylized representation of the band and a digital interface with anime aesthetics and commentary in Korean play with the viewer’s perception and impact.

Visual contrast is a central part of the song’s artistic discourse.

Love, muses and promises kept

In ‘Repetir’, Moenia bets on a love story marked by emotional obsession and the desire to relive shared moments.

The video, in black and white, uses minimalist staging to convey the growing tension between two characters, culminating in an intimate denouement.

Finally, ‘Lo prometí’ is dedicated to those figures who inspire artists.

Alfonso Pichardo, vocalist of the group, explained that the song arises from a recurring experience on tour, when someone comes up to him and asks to write a song for him one day.

With this track, Moenia materializes that promise from an artistic and emotional perspective.

All the songs on Temporal were composed by Alex “Midi” Ortega, Jorge Soto and Alfonso Pichardo, members of the band.

Prior to this release, Moenia also presented a Rolling Stone Sessions, where they reinterpreted some of their greatest hits, reaffirming their relevance and connection with new generations.

With Temporal, Moenia not only returns:

It reaffirms its identity and its capacity to evolve without losing its essence, consolidating itself as a reference of electronic pop in Spanish.
