Singer Jisoo, from the popular K-Pop girl group Blackpink, released a single with British artist Zayn Malik, former member of the band One Direction, titled ‘Eyes Closed’ on Friday.
The English duet, which lasts exactly three minutes, is the singer’s first work since the release last February of her first solo album, ‘Amortage’, reports South Korean news agency Yonhap.
A ballad that evolves into a global hit
The song begins as a soft ballad accompanied by an acoustic guitar and then becomes a catchy melody marked by percussion and the voices of both singers.
The duet with Malik was expected a few days ago, when Jisoo posted a mysterious photograph in which she appeared in front of a dark figure, which many identified with the Briton.
Jisoo’s agency, Blissoo, described the song as “a new experience,” according to Yonhap.
Malik, who split from One Direction in 2015 and has maintained a solo career since then, was spotted with his daughter at a Blackpink concert in New York in July.
After which he posted an image on Instagram thanking the group for the show.
