NFL 2025: Season kickoff date and games with Eagles vs. Cowboys on kickoff

The NFL is ready to kick off its 2025-2026 season, and it will do so with a high-voltage divisional classic. On Thursday, September 4, the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles will take on the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field for the traditional kickoff game, which officially opens the American soccer campaign in the United States.

The match will kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET and will be broadcast nationally on DAZN in the U.S.

As NFL tradition dictates since 2004, the defending champion opens the season.

In this case, Super Bowl LIX MVP Jalen Hurts’ Eagles will be looking to get their title defense off on the right foot.

This against a Cowboys team that arrives under Dak Prescott and head coach Brian Schottenheimer.

The NFL regular season will run through Sunday, January 4, 2026, with a total of 18 weeks of action.

The playoffs will then begin, culminating with Super Bowl LX, scheduled for February 8, 2026 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

It will be the second time in history that this stadium will host a Super Bowl, consolidating California as one of the favorite venues for the NFL’s biggest events.
