The presentation of the champion Philadelphia Eagles against the Dallas Cowboys and the debut of Aaron Rodgers at the controls of the Pittsburgh Steelers, who will play against the New York Jets, will take the spotlight in Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season, which kicks off tomorrow.

The Eagles will begin the defense of their championship as favorites when they open the campaign this Thursday against the Cowboys, who come into this game after losing their defensive star Micah Parsons, whose contract was not renewed by Jerry Jones, owner of the team, in order to stay in Dallas.

In Philadelphia, Jalen Hurts, MVP of Super Bowl LIX, has indicated that they will look to become the NFL’s next dominant dynasty, a journey they hope to begin against the Cowboys, supported by an offense that promises to be one of the most powerful in the NFL.

With Dallas, head coach Brian Schottenheimer will make his debut with a mission that seems complicated: to break 30 years without the Lone Star team reaching a Super Bowl.

In New York, Aaron Rodgers will lead the Steelers offense next Sunday against the Jets, his former team.

At 42 years old, Rodgers is the hope for the Mike Tomlin-led team to return to an NFL title game, something it hasn’t accomplished since 2011.

The Jets will also debut a new pass rusher in Justin Fields, who spent last year with Pittsburgh; the 26-year-old pass rusher is expected to add versatility to the New York offense.

That same day, in Green Bay, the Packers will host the Detroit Lions in one of the NFL’s oldest rivalries, dating back to 1930.

The Packers are one of the favorites in the National Conference to reach Super Bowl LX, a status that was enhanced with the signing of Micah Parsons, considered one of the best linebackers in the NFL, who left the Cowboys last week.

One of the games that will attract the most attention in this Week 1 is the match between the Los Angeles Chargers, led by Justin Herbert, and the Kansas City Chiefs, led by Patrick Mahomes, to be played this Friday at the Arena Corinthians in São Paulo, Brazil.

Among the 13 games scheduled for Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers’ visit to the Seattle Seahawks and the clash between the Buffalo Bills, led by Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens, both candidates to reach Super Bowl LX in the American Conference, stand out.

The activity will conclude next Monday with the Bears-Vikings game.
