Green Bay Packers’ Jordan Love, in concussion protocol; Pittsburgh Steelers’ Trent Jordan Watt, with a lung injury; and Las Vegas Raiders’ Maxx Crosby, out with a knee injury, are the stars who will not see action in Week 17 of the NFL season.
Love, who remains in concussion protocol from the blow to the head he suffered last Saturday in his team’s loss to the Chicago Bears, will miss tomorrow’s game when the Packers host the Baltimore Ravens.
Helmet-to-helmet hit knocks him out

The quarterback took a helmet-to-helmet hit in the second quarter from Austin Booker, who was penalized for roughness against the passer.
Jordan Love showed concussion symptoms, such as dizziness and headache, so he returned to the game.
After evaluations during the week, the Packers’ medical staff decided to keep their starting quarterback in the concussion protocol.
This is in hopes that it will improve heading into the final game of the NFL regular season.
Green Bay, which needs to win to stay in the hunt for the Bears for the National Conference North title, will have backup passer Malik Willis at the controls.
Steelers rule out TJ Watt against Browns

In Pittsburgh, the Steelers ruled out TJ Watt, their star linebacker, for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
Watt is recovering from a punctured lung sustained during a dry needling treatment session.
It is a physiotherapy technique, similar to acupuncture, used to treat muscular problems that the team’s medical staff performed on him last December 11, which required surgery to repair it.
Although the linebacker was present at some practices during the week, he was ruled out to return for a third consecutive game in NFL Week 17.
Crosby sidelined, Raiders’ tensions flare up

Another significant absence this weekend will be Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby.
The player left the team’s facilities on Friday upset because he did not agree with the doctors’ diagnosis regarding his knee injury.
“Being the best in the world at what I do is what I strive for, and this thing they’re doing to me ruins the game,” Crosby said before leaving the Raiders.
The controversy was ignited because Maxx Crosby is the third casualty announced by the Raiders.
Along with Brock Bowers and Jeremy Chinn, the three starters, for Sunday’s matchup against the New York Giants, both teams have the same record of two wins and 13 losses.
The team that loses this game will ensure they finish the season as the worst team in the NFL, which entitles them to have the first pick in the 2026 Draft.
