Beloved Despierta América morning show host Raúl González is preparing to open his heart like never before. On October 28, 2025, Gonzalez will officially launch his autobiography entitled La verdad muere de pie, a publishing project in which he reveals intimate aspects of his personal and emotional life that, for years, he had decided to keep silent.

“This is me… after facing my monsters, of losing myself and finding myself, of speaking my truth out loud,” writes Raul in one of the most moving passages of the book. “I’m not perfect, but I’m finally free. It’s never too late to live your life with truth. It is never too late to be reborn.”

One of the most talked about confessions is the one Raul himself recently shared on the set of Despierta America:

“It took me about 10 years to forgive [my ex], I have to say honestly. In fact, I tell about it in my book. And I talk about that in there, I tell how I forgave.”

The presenter made it clear that he went through a long and deep healing process.

“It took me 10 years because it was candela,” he added, without publicly revealing the details, which he promises to address in depth in the pages of his autobiography.

During the same interview, her partner Jomari Goyso asked her if she was not afraid of facing lawsuits from the people she mentions in the book.

The Despierta America host ‘s response was firm: “Not at all. I have taken very good care of myself. I have taken advice from my lawyers on everything I wanted to say”.

In this way, he made it clear that every word has been legally reviewed to avoid unnecessary controversy, while still telling the truth.

La verdad muere de pie is being published under the Planeta publishing label and is already on pre-sale.

Far from being just a collection of anecdotes, the book seeks to connect with those who have lived through intense personal processes and have needed time to forgive, let go or start again.

For the Hispanic community in the United States, many of the themes Raul touches on – love, grief, healing, personal growth – resonate in a special way.

His story not only reflects what he has experienced as a public figure, but also as an immigrant, as a Latino man and as a human being in search of truth.
