The separation of Ana Patricia Gámez and Luis Carlos Martínez continues to generate headlines after the leak of legal documents that reveal the complex divorce process faced by the Enamorándonos USA host. Weeks after the news broke, new elements have come to light that show the financial, emotional and legal background of their breakup.

According to the documents filed with the Miami Family Court, Ana Patricia formally filed for divorce arguing that the marriage is “irretrievably dissolved”. In her deposition, the driver pointed out that, for the past few years, she has been the one who has borne practically all the emotional and economic burden of the household.

The lawsuit states that, during their union, Ana Patricia would have contributed more income than Luis Carlos, especially during the periods in which her contract with Univision was in effect. However, the termination of that contract caused a significant reduction in their finances, directly affecting their ability to maintain their previous family lifestyle.

Despite this, the lawsuit states that Luis Carlos “does have sufficient financial means” to maintain his personal lifestyle, while she faces a substantial change in her financial situation, particularly in relation to the support of their children, Giulietta and Gael.

Documents obtained by journalist Mandy Fridmann revealed Luis Carlos’ extensive legal response to his ex-wife’s lawsuit. Among the most relevant requests, Martinez asks:

Custody and parenting

50/50 shared custody, with a parenting plan approved by both parties or by the court.

Shared parental responsibility, with the request that he has the final decision on issues related to media or social network exposures of minors.

Maintenance and medical expenses

Maintenance in accordance with the Florida Guidelines, including proportional expenses for: extracurricular activities, tutoring, school fees, uniforms and supplies.

That both share all medical expenses, including those not covered by insurance.

Annual alternation to declare children as dependents starting in 2025.

Mandatory life insurance policies to guarantee future maintenance.

Equitable distribution of assets and liabilities, including business assets.

Unequal distribution in their favor, claiming to have contributed to the growth of the equity.

Exclusive interest in the marital home, with the right to use it during litigation if there is hostility.

Consider any “marital misconduct” by the wife to seek further financial compensation.

That Ana Patricia cover part or all of her legal costs, or that malicious litigation be imposed if applicable.

On November 13, Ana Patricia filed an emergency motion to request judicial permission to travel with her children to Mexico for Christmas, following the family tradition of alternating holidays between the two countries. However, according to the documents, Luis Carlos initially refused to sign the authorization.

He finally signed on November 17, but imposed conditions such as: daily telephone availability, strict dates of departure and return, prohibition to publish photos of the children during the trip.
