Selena Gomez surprised by announcing a very special collaboration between her makeup brand, Rare Beauty, and the iconic Mexican condiment Tajin.

The new limited collection called Rare Beauty x Tajin Cheek & Lip Set debuted on August 21, 2025 and promises to be an ode to her culture and the vibrant Latin aesthetic she has always wanted to highlight.

The set includes two full-size products inspired by the distinctive shades of the Mexican condiment:

Soft Pinch Liquid Blush – Chamoy shade: a deep brownish red that evokes the intensity of chamoy and provides a radiant finish.

Positive Light Luminizing Lip Gloss – Classic shade: a rich terracotta with gold and copper highlights, inspired by the iconic Tajin Classic.

These items are vegan, animal cruelty-free, dermatologically tested and suitable for sensitive skin. Although they are inspired by flavors, they contain no real aroma or taste, as their strength is in color and aesthetics, not in their edibility. .

Selena Gomez aims to reconnect with Latinos

This collaboration goes beyond makeup and branding. Selena noted that it is a unique celebration of the culture, energy and moments that bring us together. .

In addition, the initiative has a strong social component: part of the proceeds will go to the Rare Impact Fund, which promotes youth mental health initiatives, and to the National School of Ceramics of Mexico, in recognition of the artisanal and cultural work that Tajin represents.

The collection is now available at Sephora (U.S. and Mexico) and on the official Rare Beauty website.

Selena fuses commerce, beauty and cultural pride into one product, demonstrating that her roots are an essential part of her message as an artist. By connecting her brand with such an iconic symbol as Tajin, she reflects a genuine approach to her heritage and also creates an inclusive space for those who share that identity.
